I wasn't thinking when I got these. I just needed something to make $25 for free shipping. If you plan on using the same speaker cable forever, they are great. If you want to make changes in the future, get ones that you can reuse. As this add states, they are crimp on, not reuseable. Every crimp (failed or not) is about $1. These must cost about 2 cents to make. The markup on these things are incredible. It's that way eveywhere for banana connectors now. I may just wait for Walmart to start selling them. They are Sooo much easier to use though! That being said, this sale is about the cheapest with free shipping. 32 connectors shipped for $25 (when I got them). Parts Express is close, but shipping is not free.

Designers Edge L-2552WH 15-1/2-Inch Dual Eye Motion-Activated Outdoor One-Light Upward Wall Sconce, White Metal with Beveled Glass Review
I have had the Designers Edge Motion-Activated Outdoor Wall Sconce for over a year and it is still working wonderfully. You can adjust the sensor so that it becomes more or less sensitive to motion. You can turn the light on, from the inside house switch, so that it stays on for as long as you want, then just turn it off to resume the motion sensor. It can also be changed to a "on at dusk off at dawn" light. I am very pleased with this porch light.

Sylvania SYL-197 Contoured Silent Cap iPod Earbuds with Volume Control (White) Review
The sound is pretty good and the ear buds fit well. (I have small ears and have trouble with others). BUT....I bought these in Feb. and already the cover that fits in your ear has torn on the right earbud and now won't stay on at all. Also the cord seems to tangle easily. Good idea but doesn't hold up to real use.

Sylvania DVD8728 7-Inch LCD Dual Screen Portable DVD Player (Black) Review
Hello,
I tried my best to find prior reviews of this product on the Internet but failed.
What enticed me to order it though and take a chance was the special price of $119 plus free shipping from Amazon. So I said to myself , "Let's chance it..."
Sigh...but when the unit arrived the left, secondary screen was just a blue screen. So it was DOA...
Other negatives:
The velcro straps that attach the unit to the head rest was cheap and nasty and look liked something I would rig from odds and ends from home...
The Audio/Video/DC connections from the main unit and secondary unit was too short and there was no opportunity to hide the wires by traversing the floor in the van. Made the whole setup very ugly and messy...YUCK!!!
What I like about the unit? Nothing much ...it looked cheap and nasty...
I gave it a 1 star because at least the main unit worked.
This is my first product return through Amazon for a bad purchase.
Kudos to Amazon for making it easy to return the item without charge

Sylvania SYL-296 Behind the Head Style Headphones (Silver) Review
Much Better Than Satisfactory: I use these headphones to excercise while listening to audio books and news podcasts. They have good sound quality and are comfortable to wear. They seem durable to me and should hold up well under normal use. I like that they fold up an will fit securly in a loose pocket. I do wrestle with the dangling cord and plug and will consider bluetooth headphones in the future to satisfy this issue. Price is very good.

Sylvania 2GB Sport Style MP3 Player (Black) Review
Stick with the "No Name" devices, the ones you can plug into any computer and fill it up with music no questions asked. This piece of garbage is typical "Big Brother BS" They want you to install their software, which won't play unlicensed music. They claim it can be used as a thumb drive yet after 300megs it stops and says drive is full, yet properties show 1.5 gb free.
I can't stand the greedy music industry, so if you're like me stay away from this trash and send a message to corporate America that they won't tell us how we can and can't use "their" devices.

Sylvania SYL-NC735 Noise Canceling Headphones (Black and Silver) Review
Noise canceling is not good. The hissing it generates is not a constant one, like the kind of static you get on radio (varying level of hiss). As an over the ear headphone (covering your ears completely, as a note here, my ears are small, and they barely fit, so if your ears are big then forget about this one), you expect a better performance, but, even JVC's or Sony's cheap on-ear models (the ones around the similar price) do much better than this one, despite that they don't cover the ears wholly.
The sound quality is average, and some frequencies are boosted more than the others, so, for this one, I actually need to reduce some frequencies (low-to-mid ones) just to get a flat level of response.
Turning on and off the noise canceling button feels like hitting the cup with your finger when you are wearing it. Suggestion, do not turn it on/off while you are wearing it, the noise it creates is dangerous for the ears.
I don't suggest this headphone, even at this price. There are better and more comfortable models out there, within the same price range. I bought this one to try it, since I heard some good things about it, but I guess I should have questioned the origins of those reviews before taking the next step.

Sylvania 4GB Video MP3 Player with Full Color Screen (Black) Review
I needed a new MP3 player after the other one crashed and was looking for something cheap. I have a tv from Sylvania and its worked well for almost ten years now. This MP3 player is a piece of junk and i'll probably save some money and buy a better player.
Problems-
I synced all songs on Windows Media Player and none of them showed up on the player. You've got to copy all of them to your player, which is long and painful.
The loading time is very, very slow. Skipping thru songs takes a long time and sometimes it'll pick a number but skip over it. It's like the player saying nah, dont want that song.
The battery friggin sucks. It took about ten minutes for the player to realize the battery was low and it finally charged up.
I put songs on the player but half of them do not show up.
The MP3 player is 4 GB but it shows only 515 songs. That annoyings me for some reason.
The good? Nothing really. It plays well and the volume goes high. For a novice, its probably frustrating and not worth the time. As I said earlier, i'll save some money and get a different player. Avoid this MP3 player at all cost.

Sylvania SYL-WH930GB Wireless Headphones (Black) Review
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY! FIRST OF ALL, THE HEADPHONES ARE UNCOMFORTABLE FOR ME. SECOND, MUCH STATIC, HISSING, OR A COMPLETE LOSS OF SIGNAL OCCURS IN THE SAME ROOM WHEN I SLIGHTLY MOVE MY HEAD. THIRD, THE NECESSITY OF PRESSING THE RESET & SCAN BUTTONS BEFORE EACH USE IS NOT ONLY INCONVENIENT, BUT AT TIMES, PICKS UP RADIO STATIONS I AM NOT TRYING TO TUNE INTO.

Sylvania LC195SLX 19-Inch Flat Panel LCD HDTV, Black Review
This TV is the second try on purchasing a 19" TV. The picture is clear & sharp and the sound is acceptable. The first one (Sanyo) the sound drove me crazy, very tinny. There is a menu option that gives us several choices on the clarity of the screen. We do not have HDTV access. AB

Sylvania DV220SL8 Dual Deck DVD Player/VCR Combo, Silver Review
After much trial and error and unhelpful instructions I called Sylvania customer service to inquire how to record. I was told that my television needed a "video out" jack to connect to the VCR". I explained my television didn't have a "video out' jack to which the customer service rep replied; "most don't, you'll need to get a cable box to connect the two." My option was to then pay 50 some dollars a month for cable just so I could record on a machine labeled; " Video Cassette RECORDER" or return the device. I returned it the next day.

Sylvania 4GB MP3 Player with 2.8-Inch Color Touch Screen (Black) Review
I found this mp3 player on sale for $50 at a local store and thought what a great deal. I only had it for a week and the screen went blank so you couldn't see any of the buttns. The battery didn't last as long as I had wished and there was no way of organizing the songs on the player. It put them in folders by artist and in the order you uploaded them. So they were hard to find since they weren't in alphabetical order. I played it on random mode but it always seemed to play the first few folders all the time

Sylvania GNET31201X6S 10-Inch Magni Elite Slate G-Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home) Black Review
Reviewers elsewhere have noted CONS that should be carefully considered by less experienced computer users before purchase. 1) Except for a brochure for the most basic matters, the machine comes with no owners' manual, not even on the HD. (And office hours are week DAYS only.) 2) Connecting to wi-fi is not set at the factory and must be done by the buyer, using the keyboard and Win controls - explained nicely below, but annoying. 3) Naturally, the speakers give a new meaning to tin - as do these netbooks (but a good headset=good music). 4) Like the MSI Wind, this Sylvania voids the warranty if I should open the machine.
That said, this G Sylvania, by Digital Gadgets LLC, works well. I find typing no problem; the right shift key, for example, is oversized as it should be. Accustomed to laptops, I found it easy to adapt to the touchpad and its unique buttons.
It is what it is, and for travel just what I wanted at $304 - though I'd have preferred $280.

Sylvania GNET13001 7" Netbook PC (1.2 GHz Via C7-M Processor, 1 GB RAM, 30 GB Hard Drive, gOS Escape Pod 2.9M OS) Black Review
You really need to consider your uses before purchase. This is a S-L-O-W computer and requires a strong wifi signal. I could not get a DVD to play from an external driove. Two USB ports are fine but lack of a CD/DVD drive is a major drawback for software installation. If you intend to use this for eMail and basic document writing, it will fill the bill nicely, especially if you want it to replace having to carry a heavy laptop wen on the road. Open Office software is adequate and some of the other pre-loaded software is an unexpected plus. Beware - overall documentation is VERY sparse. I decided to install Windows XP to compensate for some of the inadequacies. My wifi was completely disabled and rather than spend time to reestablish it, I purchased a cheap external wifi USB unit and it works for me. I also bought a cheap CD/DVD external drive for virus and utility installation. So - the cost of the $200 computer came up to nearly $300 for me. Advice - consider what you want and whether buying a $300 - $350 refurb is better for you. (Note: I did not have an external CD/DVD and it comes in handy as an auxilliary drive for my MAC system at home.

Sylvania NB500SL9 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player with HDMI Cable Review
Got this a few weeks ago as the daily special-$130, seemed too reasonable to pass up. Wasn't willing to shell out over $200. Have only watched a few movies, but blu ray definitely is crystal clear. As many have said, regular dvds upconvert to almost blu ray quality, and you pay almost this much for an upconverting player. Load time is fine, also have an HD dvd player, both take about 20 seconds. What's the big deal? Haven't downloaded firmware yet, may wait to see if certain movies cause problems, as I've read some had problems after downloading firmware. Overall, a great purchase!
